About Us
Dr. Asef has been in private practice since 1998. He is Board Certified in Podiatric Surgery and
is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Asef's
specialties are podiatric surgery, trauma and foot and ankle cosmetic and reconstruction surgery.
He has a special interest in pediatric congenital deformities and implants for children with flat foot deformities, and gives
lectures around the country on these topics. He is also certified in the use of Ilizarov External Fixator and went through a
mini-fellowship on its use in Italy.
Dr. Asef is a member of the Euclid Hospital medical staff leadership where he serves as director of the Section of Podiatry in the
Division of Orthopedics in the Department of Surgery. He is also very involved with the Wound Care Center at Euclid Hospital. Dr.
Asef has written about or given presentations on topics such as hospital-acquired heel pressure ulcers, digital deformities, lower
extremity MRI angiography, nail pathology and pre- and post-operative use of coumadin.
